I've sat on every side of the table: as the developer writing the code, as the agency trying to deliver on time, and as the client trying to make sense of what they were being sold. Through all of it, I kept running into the same problem — clients being oversold by firms more interested in extending contracts than solving the actual problem. Honest technological assessment was rare. Solutions designed purely around the client's needs — with no upselling, no strings attached — were even rarer.
